movement and place > Evaporation walking

After walking with the bereaved mother’s of Compassionate Friends in the Hocking Hills, some of them took the time to write to me about their walk. One mother holds hands with me in the main gathering room of the lodge and shares her story about losing one of her daughters. She describes some of the struggles she observes in her surviving daughter. Many of the feelings and thoughts that have flowed over me since losing my sister become crystalized. It is a relief to learn that people experience grief in many similar ways and am struck by her vulnerability and strength. These letters capture something of the moment.
